An Unexpected Bloomer

Writer's picture: Mary Jo DyreMary Jo Dyre

Nothing pleases me more than to spot the unexpected bloomer. The irises I know, typically bloom in the spring. When September brought these yellow beauties, sunshine magically turned into something I could reach out and touch. Flowers in many ways remind me of people. Some bloom when you least expect. Some grow in the most unlikely places. Many times, a wall of weeds hides the real beauty.

Blooms in all shapes and sizes, blooms in any season, be they botanical or human make my heart glad.
